Born in Sherman, Texas, Rory was ordained as an Evangelist with the Churches of Christ in 1989. Since moving to Amarillo and then to Canyon, TX, his ministry has extended from Washington State to southern Mississippi, and from California to Massachusetts. In 1997 and in 2016 he served on missions preaching in Nigeria.
In 2007 He was ordained as an Elder in the Amarillo Church of Christ. He serves as the moderator and Editor of the Affirming Bible Basic Apologetics. Rory has been actively involved in the Panhandle Professional Writers (Now Texas High Plains Writers), serving as Frontiers in Writing Contest Chair in 2009, PPW President Elect- 2008-2009, President - 2009-2010, and on the PPW board of Directors as Past-President -2010-2011 and Frontiers in Writing Conference Chair 2012-13. He is an active member of the Inspirational Writers Alive! Amarillo Chapter, and Ol’ Tascosa Wordslingers, and President of WordsmithSix the Amarillo chapter of the Oklahoma Writers’ Federation, Inc. and WordsmithSix Blogger and a fellow artist at Panhandle Art Center. |
